This session explores how providers sometimes use diagnosis stacking, inflation, and creative repurposing of chronic conditions to bolster risk scoring or elevate medical decision making. We’ll break down real audit findings, examine what constitutes “bloat” in a diagnosis list, and arm you with practical tools to identify when a diagnosis is just doing too much. Walk away knowing how to spot patterns, document defensibly, and communicate findings back to providers with clarity and confidence.
